Following yesterday’s first F1 race of the season in Austrailia Leisuretime are delighted to announce that they have confirmed a deal to support Toby Davis and Team-HARD. racing during season 2017. Toby will race in the VW Cup, which is a one make national championship that races alongside the prestigious British GT championship.
Cardiff based Leisuretime operates coach holidays to destinations across the UK and Europe with coach joining points in South Wales, West Wales and the South of England. The company also has partnerships with a wide range of operators offering cruises, package holidays, hotels and flights. Customers can book a holiday in any one of their high street stores, over the phone, via the website or at one of Leisuretime’s travel agent partners.
George Johnson, Director said: "We are absolutely delighted to be supporting Toby and Team-HARD. during the forthcoming season. We are already proud supporters of a number of high profile sports teams across South Wales and this partnership further enhances our position as one of the region’s main supporters of local sport. This partnership also coincides with us increasing the number of Motorsport trips we will be able to offer our customers in 2017."
Toby Davis said: "I am a young racing driver who lives in Cardiff. Last year I won a fully-funded scholarship with Team-HARD. to race in the VW Cup, out of 130 entrants into a competition they put on to find the best young talent in the UK. For many years I've been struggling to find the budget to race with my father, and we've only been able to compete in karts until last year, so I'm enormously grateful to Tony Gilham at Team-HARD. I am also delighted to be working with Leisuretime and I am so grateful for their support which has helped turn the dream of being a car racing driver into reality.”
“There are many benefits to being affiliated with Team-HARD. but one of them is that they have cars in a variety of championships, including the British GT and BTCC, which is watched by over 500,000 unique viewers live on ITV4 every round. My goal for 2017 is to continue the learning curve from last season and compete for the championship, whilst providing a great platform for partners to get involved with myself and the team and, above all else, enjoy the HARD experience!"
Team-HARD. was formed by an elite group, fronted by BTCC driver Tony Gilham who wanted to revitalise and bring something unique to Race/Track car preparation industry.
