The Operations Manager is responsible for the Transport Operation within the business, taking full responsibility for delivering transport excellence.
You’ll be supporting the team that ultimately delivers the transport element of the final holiday experience to Leisuretime clients.
You will work out of our head office in the centre of Cardiff with the existing operations team. Whilst the team is currently functioning within company guidelines, you will initially have the challenge of supporting the team to ensure standards of delivery of our transportation services consistently exceeds client expectations.
You will be a strong communicator, be very customer focused and have a great sense of humour along with excellent people skills. You will be commercially astute, serious about safety, and have a clear focus on KPI delivery. Whilst you’ll have a thorough understanding of industry rules and regulations and be exceptional at thinking on your feet, you’ll be creative and will want to make sure that you become an integral part of our business development team.

Primary Location
Cardiff based, Some South Wales travel required

Working Hours
40 hours per week, 5 days per week Monday to Sunday, as determined by the Employer so as to reflect the operational requirements of the Employer. Flexibility is essential in order to cover busy periods and early starts/late finishes are sometimes required.

Overview of Responsibilities, Duties & Requirements
You will be a key part of the Leisuretime Operations team, responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of the final holiday experience of our customers, through Leisuretime transport and drivers.

You will be fully responsible for the creation and delivery of tour itineraries, ensuring tour drivers communicate well with passengers and carry out the tour as per customer expectations.

In addition, you will be responsible for driver training and line management (Leisuretime and sub-contracted drivers).

Experience in coach transport and technical knowledge is essential and of course, you’ll need a friendly, calm and professional manner when dealing with colleagues and customers.

Your team will need to be able to rely on you and you will have good computer literacy, good teamwork skills and an ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Ensure full legal compliance with operating license, tachograph and drivers hours regulations.
  • Ensure all key performance indicators, operations and financial targets are achieved.
  • Train, develop and retain a competent and collaborative workforce. Responsible for creation and delivery of tour itineraries
  • Be responsible for end delivery of driver and coach to line up company service standards
  • Ensure that drivers are conversant and compliant with company procedures and expectations. Support drivers after departure and see that problems are solved as they arise
