Freiburg & Titisee
We make a tour through the mountains, valleys and villages of the beautiful Black Forest. We visit Freiburg, situated just below the Black Forest. The architecture is beautiful and the streets are unique, colourful and loaded with activity. The town’s Münsterplatz is lined with colourful medieval and baroque-style houses. We move on through the region’s romantic wooded hills, to the crystal clear waters of Titisee, occupying an area carved out by a glacier during the Ice Age and surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
Alsace including Ribeauville & Riquewihr
After breakfast we head over the border to France and the Alsace. This region is unique, taking its architectural influences from its Swiss and German neighbours, whilst retaining the French gastronomic traditions and easygoing lifestyle. We visit the pretty town of Ribeauvillé, where we find local crafts and produce, and the tiny town of Riquewihr, with its picturesque cobbled streets lined with pink and blue half-timbered houses dating back to the 16th century.
