Built for pleasure and relaxation, beautiful Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times. The waters are still a big draw, both at the ancient Roman Baths and the thoroughly modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in. The compact, visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain. Immerse yourself in Bath’s remarkable collection of museums and galleries, and enjoy year-round festivals, theatre, music and sport whilst Bath’s stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture is straight from a Jane Austen novel.
Some say that Bristol is a city that doesn’t just buzz, it thumps! If ever there was a city with a story to tell, it’s Bristol. Enveloped in the hills of South West England, it has its own unmistakable identity, grounded in roots from centuries past and carved out since by passionate locals and spirited fans. A hotbed of artists and activists, walk the streets and become part of a living canvas; cycle from the city to the outskirts and discover our green credentials for yourself. And that’s just a smattering of what makes this city the best. The harbourside district is a vibrant hotbed of restaurants, bars and cafes whilst the river and its numerous water taxis and buses makes this a fascinating city to travel around. Bristol’s maritime history is on display all along the waterfront culminating in the magnificent SS Great Britain. Whatever your interest, Bristol is a cracker!
