Make time for a little 'Me Time'
Join us for a relaxing trip to the Cotswolds based at the impressive De Vere Cotswolds Water Park & Spa. We will visit two beautiful but very different icons of the Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Water and Cirencester whilst also giving you lots of free time to enjoy the hotel and all of its many facilities.
DeVere Cotswold Water Park Hotel & Spa
Set among the honey-coloured villages and gently rolling hills of The Cotswolds, the De Vere Cotswold Water Park is a hotel as spectacular as its surroundings. In the heart of the 152 lakes that spread across the unique Cotswolds Water Park, this is a place where modern design effortlessly combines with its natural surroundings. With places to eat and drink across four lakeside locations (including a champage Bar!), dining here is made simple. There is also an extensive spa where a world of pampering and relaxation awaits.
During our outbound journey, visit to Bourton on the Water (arrive at hotel for around 3pm). Dinner at hotel and evening at leisure.
After breakfast, we visit Cirencester before joining the coach to return home.
Bourton on the Water
Bourton-on-the-Water straddles the River Windrush with its series of elegant low bridges beside neat tree-shaded greens and tidy stone banks. Standing back from the river are traditional Cotswolds buildings, many of which are now tourist shops for the day-trippers and visitors.
Cirencester (often referred to as the Capital of the Cotswolds) was the second largest town in Britain during Roman times and iIn later years it was a very prosperous medieval wool town. Cirencester's market square is dominated by the cathedral-like Parish Church of St. John Baptist (one of the largest in England). The large south porch with its impressive fan vaulting was built about 1490. Cirencester's market town status was mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086. he town has its own farmers' market whilst crafts and antiques markets are also regular attractions.
