Tour through Black Forest with a visit to Triberg

Enjoy a wonderful tour through the beautiful Black Forest. Depending on who you believe, this region of Germany got its name either because of the dense, dark trees that cover the region or because of the unexplained happenings spouted by local folklore that kept people in awe of the power of this majestic region. Today, however, it is one of Germany’s most popular tourist regions boasting imposing scenery, quaint chocolate box villages, lakes and waterfalls. Triberg is of particular interest as it is recognised as the home of the cuckoo clock whilst also showing off the typical architecture of the region.

Strasbourg and guided tour

Enjoy a guided tour around this fascinating city encircled by water and peppered with incredible local architecture. Strasbourg is the perfect overture to all that is idiosyncratic about Alsace – walking a fine tightrope between France and Germany and between a medieval past and a progressive future, all achieved with typical Alsatian flair!. At its heart is the imposing Gothic cathedral surrounding by labyrinths of twisting alleys lined with crooked half-timbered houses that are reminiscent of a Grimm Fairy Tale. Make sure you also make time to enjoy some of the typical food and drink of Alsace that can often be found in the many typical wine bars and restaurants dotted around this pretty city. This will certainly be a day out to remember!
