Scotland at Christmas is a always a firm favourite and this holiday is packed with some of the city's best visitor attractions. Yes, you'll have free time to relax over the Christmas and you'll be able to get out and about to explore at your leisure, but the key is our included tours and attractions.

The beautiful, historic capital of Scotland is an exciting place to visit at any time of year. Edinburgh offers superb sightseeing opportunities, historic buildings to explore, quiet galleries and museums, thrilling new attractions to discover, serious shopping and a great choice of excellent restaurants, bistros, wine bars, pubs and cafes.

We have some brilliant included excursions: Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh Castle & the Royal Yacht Britannia (admission all included) and there will be a 2 hour hop on tour of Edinburgh - to see the sights and get your bearings!

Our hotel is about 15 minutes by foot to Princes Street and a quick walk from the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. Of course, we will have festive fayre including Christmas Day lunch and some evening entertainment too. Don't forget to get out and about in the evening though, Edinburgh by night is a real treat!


Day 1

After joining the coach at one of our convenient local joining points, we head towards Edinburgh making a stop or two along the way for coffee/lunch. We expect to arrive at our hotel during the late afternoon where we are greeted with a welcome drink. Check-in and time to settle in before dinner this evening.

Day 2 - 4

Enjoy hearty traditional Scottish breakfasts daily along with free time and your fabulous INCLUDED excursions showcasing the best that Royal Edinburgh has to offer; Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood House and the Royal Yacht Britannia. We also give you the opportunity to join a 2-hour Hop On Hop Off sightseeing tour of the city at a time to suit you. Festive themed dinners and an entertainment programme are also included throughout your stay including Christmas Day lunch and festive entertainment at the hotel.

Day 5

After a final tasty breakfast we say a fond farewell to our hosts as we depart for home. After stopping for a coffee/lunch break or two, we continue homewards getting back during the late afternoon/early evening.

Palace of Holyroodhouse

The Palace of Holyroodhouse stands at the end of Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Explore the Palace's close associations with some of Scotland’s most well-known historic figures such as Mary, Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie, and learn how today it is used by The Queen when carrying out official engagements in Scotland.

Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle is a world famous icon of Scotland and part of the Old and New Towns of Edinburgh’s World Heritage Site.

This most famous of Scottish castles has a complex building history. The oldest part, St Margaret's Chapel, dates from the 12th century; the Great Hall was erected by James IV around 1510; the Half Moon Battery by the Regent Morton in the late 16th century; and the Scottish National War Memorial after the First World War.

Royal Yacht Britannia

Follow in the footsteps of Royalty and explore this floating Royal residence with a fascinating audio tour of five decks.

The Royal Yacht Britannia played host to some of the world’s most famous people, but above all was home for the British Royal Family for over 40 years. Now berthed in Leith, Edinburgh, you can discover the heart and soul of this most special of Royal residences.
