Perfect for Bargain Hunters!

Do you love the Isle of Wight at Christmas but are looking for a real bargain? Then look no further on this Destination Isle of Wight Christmas Holiday. You know you'll be somewhere on this popular island, but who knows exactly where or which hotel you'll be staying in? All we can say, is that it will be well located, comfortable and with a great programme of festive fun and entertainment...

This diamond shaped island is a UK gem and one of Queen Victoria’s favourite spots. It is also one of the sunniest and warmest places in the country year round, located just a few miles from the south coast of England. No passport is needed for the short ferry crossing, and once you're on the Island everything is within easy reach. The Isle of Wight has over 60 miles of stunning coastal scenery, lively resorts and quaint villages combine with a friendliness and old-fashioned charm to make for a really memorable Christmas holiday.

Whilst on the island you will enjoy a Round the Island Tour and festive visits to Cowes and Ryde

As this is a 'Destination' holiday, its exceptional price means that whilst you know where you are going and what's included, we can't tell you which coach seat or hotel until just before you go. It's a great way to save money as long as you're flexible with the hotel and you're not fussy where you sit on the coach.

Hotel: We'll let you know before you go!

You will be staying in a good hotel on the Isle of Wight. All the bedrooms will have private facilities, colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities, and the hotel will have a good bar and restaurant and plenty of festive food and entertainment. Your hotel will be named on your final travel documents, approximately 7 days before departure.

Please be aware that the hotel may not be suitable for passengers with mobility difficulties.

Day 1

After joining the coach, we head towards teh south coast where we'll board the ferry for our short crossing to our holiday island. The crossing in mainly along the river and the Solent itself is sheltered, so the crossings are usually very smooth. Arriving on the island, we expect to get to the hotel during the late afternoon. Check-in and enjoy your first delicious dinner this evening an the start of your fabulous festive break.

Days 2 - 4

Enjoy hearty traditional English breakfasts every day along with free time to explore your hotel and resort. Make sure you join us for our wonderful INCLUDED excursions including a lovely Round the Island Tour and visits to both Cowes and Ryde. Dinners every evening, Christmas Day lunch with all the trimmings and festive entertainment at the hotel are also all part of your package.

Day 5

After a tasty final breakfast we say farewell to our hosts and depart for home. We'll hope to be back home during the mid-late afternoon.

Cowes

Cowes, famed for its professional sailing, stunning Victorian architecture and vibrant festival atmosphere is one of the most popular towns on the Isle of Wight to visit year round. There are stunning sea views over the Solent to the mainland beyond. Find a spot to sit and watch the world go by...

Ryde

The largest town on the island, Ryde has fine Georgian and Victorian buildings, shops, tea-rooms, pubs, restaurants, and a marina. The sea-wall promenade provides a popular walk, passing the Victorian watchtower on the way to Puckpool Park.

Round the Island Tour

Rounding the Island, we pass through the superbly positioned town of Ventnor, one of the sunniest spots on the Island and built on a series of terraces that climb steeply towards St Boniface Down, from where there are spectacular views across the Bay. We move on, passing through the Island’s southernmost tip and the village of Chale, before arriving at Alum Bay at the Island’s western tip. The sandstone cliffs here are made up of twenty-one colours and it is from here that the Island’s most notable feature can be most clearly seen - the ‘Needles’, three giant chalk stacks, one of which is crowned with a lighthouse. Leaving Alum Bay we visit Yarmouth, a quiet town with a pretty harbour, stone quays, old houses and a 16th century castle built by Henry VIII.
