Cadaques
The beautiful whitewashed fishing village of Cadaqués is sometimes referred to as an island on the coast, nestled as it is between the capes of Norfeu and Creus and flanked by mountains. The vilage has a distinctly bohemian-chic feel to it, and is known as a meeting point for artists, intellectuals and free spirits. One of its most famous attractions is the house of Salvador Dali who lived close by. Artists as diverse as Picasso, Mark Chagall, Marcel Duchamp, Henry Matisse and even Mick Jagger spent time in Cadaqués, There are lots of towns and villages dotted along the Costa Brava but few as charming or attractive as Cadaqués!
