A weekend break of shopping and sightseeing in and around London!Visit 2 iconic markets - Portobello Road & Camden Market
Join us on this great weekend break to London, where we’ll be visiting the shopping hotspots of Camden Market and Portobello Road. We have also included a sightseeing river cruise in Kingston-upon-Thames plus a visit to Windsor on the way home. London is a fabulous city to visit. No matter what your interest, this buzzing metropolis will have something to fascinate and enchant you. From street markets to historic monuments, incredible museums & galleries through to dance, cinema and theatre London never disappoints. For those that love their food and drink, London offers unparalleled options with virtually every cuisine on earth available somewhere in this great city for budgets to suit every size of wallet. Getting around is easy too with an extensive bus network, the underground and black cab taxis unless you’d just like to wrap up and walk around to take in the atmosphere including the beautiful and tranquil Royal Parks which provide a welcome oasis and rest from the hustle and bustle of the city.
St Giles Heathrow The St Giles London Heathrow is located close to the UK's busiest airport but an ideal spot from which to combine visits to the heart of London and royal Windsor. The hotel is well appointed with a range of facilities including a charming bar and excellent restaurant. All bedrooms are equipped with all of the usual amenities that you would expect and there is Wifi available.
Day 1 After joining the coach, we head to London, with a chance to explore vibrant Camden Market before rejoining the coach and heading for the hotel. Check in, relax and if you have not already eaten in London why not try out the hotel's restaurant for dinner and maybe a drink in the bar?Day 2 Enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading out to enjoy the day shopping along Portobello Road with a cruise along the Thames between Kingston-upon-Thames and Richmond. Return to the hotel in the evening. Day 3 After a final hearty breakfast, we board our coach and head to Windsor for our final excursion. We return to the coach mid-afternoon before continuing homewards and return to our local joining point later today.
Join us on our visit to Camden Market is actually two marketplaces - The Stables and The Lock - located right in the heart of Camden Town along the picturesque Regent’s Canal. There is always fantastic food stalls to be found nestled in between the inbetween unique handmade jewellery, artwork, vintage fashion, souvenirs, gifts & so much more.Portobello Road Market Arrive at London’s famous Portobello Market and spend time browsing the numerous antique stalls and shops and just savouring the atmosphere of one of the world’s best-known street markets. There are food and drink aplenty available along with a diverse range of other stalls and shops selling a wide range of curios and fascinating wares. Kingston-upon-Thames Cruise See the Thames from a different angle with a cruise along the river between Kingston and Richmond. The family run river boat company carries thousands of passengers every year to explore this stunning stretch of the River Thames.Windsor Windsor is home to Windsor Castle, one of the most famous residences of the British Royal Family. The castle itself is surrounded by a warren of small streets offering a wonderful range of boutiques, shops, bars, cafes and restaurants for you to enjoy along with the impressive 5,000 acres of gardens that make up Windsor Great Park.
