Stay in a lovely historic hotel plus enjoy delightful excursions around the area
Staying in lovely Llandudno, the 'Queen' of Welsh resorts has a long, crescent-shaped promenade, Victorian pier and sweeping sands making it a perfect holiday destination. We have time to explore our resort as well as two fabulous days out including seeing the stunning scenery of Snowdonia National Park.
The Risboro Hotel sits between the two beaches that lie at the foot of the Orme, just a stone’s throw from the tram station for the summit of the Orme. The hotel also has a lounge bar, sun terrace and entertainment lounge with dance floor. What more could you possibly want?!
Day 1 After joining the coach at one of our local pick-up points, head north through stunning Welsh scenery to the beautiful coastal resort of Llandudno. There will be convenient coffee/lunch stops en route and we expect to arrive at the lovely Risboro Hotel in the late afternoon. Check in, unpack and unwind before dinner. Maybe a stroll along the sweeping promenade would be good to blow the travel cobwebs away, alternatively there is always the hotel bar or numerous pubs to try out! You'll certainly have worked up an appetite for dinner this evening... Days 2-3 Enjoy hearty traditional Welsh breakfasts every day along with some free time to explore this lovely resort on your own. Our INCLUDED excursions, though, are a real highlight so make sure you don't miss out on any of them - Snowdonia National Park, Caernarfon and Conwy. Whatever you're up to during the day, you can always look forward to tasty evening meals in the hotel along with some great entertainment to relax and maybe even sing along to? Day 4 After a last breakfast it is sadly time to make our way home. After stopping for a coffee/lunch break, we continue homewards.
Caernarfon & Conwy Home to Wales’s most famous castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, mighty Caernarfon Castle commands the lion’s share of attention, but the town’s narrow streets and stylishly redeveloped waterfront also merit a visit. The castle, built in the 13th century by Edward I as a royal palace and military fortress, was at the core of a medieval walled town. It’s rare that there is so much to do in such a small town. There is stunning scenery, the smallest house in Britain, the Bodnant gardens and Conwy Mountain just to name a few things to see in this pretty market town. Climb to the top of one of Conwy Castle's eight towers to get a stunning view of Conwy, explore the inner and outer wards with their many rooms and explore the castle walls with their 21 towers that completely enclose Conwy town.Snowdonia Circular The Snowdonia National Park boasts vast areas of natural beauty and unique scenery. It is known as Eryri by Welsh a name that can be translated as “the place of the eagles”. The park which covers 838 square miles is one of the three natural parks found in Wales and the oldest one being designated as one in 1951.
