Rob Roy Hotel, Aberfoyle

This comfortable hotel is situated a mile from Aberfoyle and at the gateway to the Trossachs in beautiful countryside, where one of Scotland’s most famous rogues, ‘Rob Roy McGregor’, once roamed. Hotel facilities include a restaurant, bar, dance-floor and lounge from which to enjoy the evening entertainment. Guest bedrooms have TV, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities.

Day 1

After joining the coach at one of our local pick-up points, we head north and head for Scotland with convenient coffee/tea stops en route. We expect to arrive at the Rob Roy Hotel and the gateway to the Trossachs in the late afternoon. Check-in, unpack and maybe enjoy a pre-dinner drink before settling in for dinner.

Day 2 - 3

Enjoy heart traditional Scottish breakfast daily along with free time to explore on your own or relax. Make sure you join us for our INCLUDED excursion into the Trossachs and, of course, the world-famous Edinburgh Tattoo. Dinner and entertainment are included at the hotel every night apart from Tattoo evening, where dinner is replaced by an included lunch and your entertainment is the Tattoo!

Day 4

After a final tasty breakfast we make our way home. After stopping for a coffee/lunch break, we continue homewards.

The Edinburgh Military Tattoo

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a spectacular like no other, all set against the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. This year the Tattoo will be celebrating its 70th anniversary and the 2020 theme is 'The Platinum Edition'. The Royal Navy will be the lead service at this years Tattoo and military and cultural acts from across the globe will be joining the iconic Massed Pipes and Drums, Pipers Trail, Tattoo Dance Company and Hjaltibonhoga. Loch Katrine Cruise & The Trossachs

We take a scenic drive through the stunning Trossachs National Park where you'll see some of Scotland’s most beautiful countryside including plunging glens, sprawling lochs and enchanting villages. We will discover beautiful scenery from our coach as we make for Loch Katrine, in the heart of the National Park and to the Steamship, Sir Walter Scott. With many charms, and rich heritage, Loch Katrine has won the heart of countless visitors. It is truly one of Scotland's special places. Just as special as the magnificent scenery is the famous steamship, the 'Sir Walter Scott', which itself has been a landmark in The Trossachs for over a hundred years. No visit is complete without a cruise on this wonderful ship or on 'Lady of the Lake'... the best way to experience the beauty of Loch Katrine.
