The Daresbury Park

The Daresbury Park is 25 minutes away from Chester, and the perfect base to for heading off on shopping ventures or the local attractions, and also close to Liverpool and Manchester, perfect for excursions to those fantastic cities. The hotel offers a fantastic range of facilities for guests to enjoy, including a restaurant serving delicious English breakfast, plus there is a breakfast buffet if you prefer a lighter option. There are two bars to enjoy an evening drink in, and the hotel boasts a Spindles Health and Leisure Club, so guests can make use of the facilities. 

Day 1

After joining the coach, we head north to bustling Manchester for a few hours of free time to explore this historic city.
Re-join the coach and travel on to our hotel for the night, arriving in the late afternoon. Check in, relax in the leisure centre or have a drink in the bar before dinner.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, we travel into Liverpool for a full day exploring this fascinating city. Don’t miss the Christmas Market at St George’s Plateau. Return to the hotel late afternoon in time to relax before another tasty dinner.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, we head for Chester. Enjoy free time shopping, sightseeing and exploring the Christmas Market before re-joining the coach and heading back home. 

Manchester Christmas Market

With more than 300 beautifully festooned stalls and chalets spread across the city centre, the Christmas Markets are free and accessible to all. Soak up the atmosphere and follow the market trail as it winds through the city centre, tempting you with gifts, crafts, jewellery, clothes and toys. European and local producers offer everything from fine amber jewellery, handcrafted leather bags and top-quality bonsai trees, to handmade Belgian kitchenware, framed photo prints and French soaps.

And don’t miss the amazing array of food and drink! Manchester’s Christmas Markets are famous for traditional bratwurst, but visitors can also treat themselves to Hungarian goulash, Spanish paella or a good old-fashioned hog roast.

Liverpool Christmas Market

Full of history, culture and friendly people, Liverpool is the ideal destination to discover and enjoy. A World Heritage Site with a wonderful collection of museums, galleries, shopping and dining, there really is something for everyone in this fantastic city. Head to St George Plateau to visit more than 40 rustic Christmas stalls selling food and drink from across four continents. There will also be local arts, Christmas decorations and candles on sale, that will make wonder gifts. Or take a ride Ferris Wheel offering great views above the festoon lighting and other vintage fairground rides for those who are still a kid at heart.

Chester 

This may be the best-preserved walled city in England, with its galleried streets, Roman Wall, Tudor houses, and unique medieval shopping experience at the famous ‘Rows’, where the shops are quite literally ‘on top of each other’. This is a fascinating city where you can truly combine a love of history with some truly inspiring shopping opportunities!
