Join us for a great value festive break in North Wales!

Llandudno is a coastal town in North Wales. It’s known for North Shore Beach and 19th-century Llandudno Pier, with its shops and games arcade. Northwest of town, the cliffs of Great Orme headland jut into the sea. Llandudno is without doubt the ‘Queen of Welsh Resorts’. The long, crescent-shaped promenade and sweeping sands make it a perfect holiday destination.

On this festive tour, don’t miss fantastic excursions to Caernarfon and a steam ride on the Welsh Highland Railway. Also included is the Turkey & Tinsel package, so you can relax in the hotel every evening with festive dinners and entertainment!

The Baytree Hotel

The Baytree Hotel is ideally located on the Grand Promenade across from Llandudno Pier. It is just a minute's walk from the central shopping area of the seaside town, and several rooms offer panoramic views of the bay. The bedrooms are recently renovated and include the usual amenities. The hotel also offers live entertainments on many nights.

Day 1

After joining the coach at one of our pick-up points, we head to the North Wales. We aim to arrive at the hotel by mid-afternoon, and you’ll have time to settle in and get ready for your evening meal plus festive entertainment.

Day 2-3

Start the day with a traditional breakfast before heading out on our fabulous included excursions to Caernarfon and the Welsh Highland Railway. You’ll also have free time to explore Llandudno. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel plus more Turkey & Tinsel entertainment.

Day 4

After a final breakfast, we make our way homewards, arriving home late afternoon. There will be stops along the way, and no interchanges.

Caernarfon & the Welsh Highland Railway

Caernarfon is home to Wales’s most famous castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, mighty Caernarfon Castle commands the lion’s share of attention, but the town’s narrow streets and stylishly redeveloped waterfront also merit a visit. The castle, built in the 13th century by Edward I as a royal palace and military fortress, was at the core of a medieval walled town.

Train travel as it should be done! Boasting outstanding scenery, comfortable carriages and historic steam engines waiting to take you through the heart of Snowdonia, this is an excursion you will remember for years to come. Glorious coastlines, ancient oak woodlands, mountains, rivers and castles, all beckon as you embark on your journey on these award-winning railways. The at-seat bufet service and licensed bar will also help you relax and really enjoy this stunning journey. These historic trains climb over 700 feet from sea level into the mountains through tranquil pastures and magnificent forests, past lakes and waterfalls, round tight bends (even a complete spiral) clinging to the side of the mountain or tunnelling through it. Magical!
