We journey through the Brecon Beacons, with its picture perfect reservoirs, to Brecon, a beautiful cathedral town with views of the majestic mountains all around. We have some free time to explore the local shops and attractions as well as enjoying a cruise on the Monmouth and Brecon Canal. This historical waterway and fantastic feat of engineering (built before roads and railways) takes us on a scenic ride through a canal lock and over an aqueduct which carries the canal over the River Usk. We rejoin the coach at 17:00 to make our way back to South Wales.

Visit the historic university city of Oxford with its honey-gold buildings, dreaming spires and riverside setting. The architecture is gobsmackingly fabulous, from the golden, stately university buildings to the atmospheric 13th-century pubs, wander through the cobbled streets, punt on the river and let the beauty of the city sweep you away. We depart Oxford around 16:30 to start our homeward journey back to South Wales.

Choose FOLLY FARM - this great attraction isn’t just a farm though; it’s the complete animal experience with with lions, giraffes & rhinos, an indoor vintage funfair, and a whole host of indoor and outdoor adventure experiences. Mesmerise yourself with over 250 animals, along with many rare breeds and baby farm animals. New to Folly Farm is the Penguin Coast, a state-of-the-art saltwater penguin enclosure – a fun filled day for all the family.

After a day filled with family run we rejoin the coach at around 17:00 to start our homeward journey.

Experience one of the best British seaside resorts. The wonderful sweep of Weston Bay, with views over to Wales and down to Exmoor, is a never-ending source of satisfaction. Miles of broad, flat sandy beach are perfect for everyone. There’s also a host of cafes, pubs, and restaurants where you can sit and watch the world go by. You could also head to the lovely Grand Pier to enjoy the spectacular views.

Enjoy a fantastic weekend escape to the Garden of England with a Call The Midwife tour!

If you’re a fan of the hit series and you’ve been wondering where Call the Midwife is filmed, put yourself in the picture and explore where the real drama happens with a Call the Midwife Official Location Tour, the only one of its kind in the world. Whilst the show is set in the East End of London, many of the outside scenes from the BBC series are actually filmed at The Historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent.

Walk in the footsteps of Nurse Trixie Franklin, Sister Julienne and Dr Turner. You will be guided through the Historic Dockyard by your very own costumed Midwife, armed with a photograph book and tales of their ‘sisters’, before being allowed to explore the sets, costumes and props in the all-new, exclusive gallery. Also enjoy time to discover the Historic Dockyard itself, a stunning 80 acre site with historic buildings, museum galleries and historic warships.

We also include a visit to the fabulous historic cathedral city of Canterbury which is a delight to explore, whilst the shops, pubs and tea rooms of Faversham, the oldest market town in the county, makes this a great place to wander and browse.

Belgium's most popular seaside resort and one of our favourite European destinations!

Enjoy our short break to Belgium with the lovely seaside resort of Ostend as our base. It has long been a firm favourite with Leisuretimers, and it is not hard to see why. With its individual charm, characterful seafront and marina, bustling markets and shops, and great restaurants, Ostend is perfect for a leisurely break.

Discover its cosmopolitan centre and beautiful parks, take a stroll along the pier or promenade lined with midrise architecture and cosy seafront cafes, or simply relax on the white-sandy beach. Ostend has a rich Maritime history and its location on the Belgian coast, of course, opens the doors to a number of culinary delights, so why not head to a seafood restaurant to sample them?

Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Cotswolds, Cheltenham offers a wonderful mix of the traditional and the new and is a perfect place to unwind. It offers a compact yet enchanting slice of quintessential England, from its elegant Regency architecture to its renowned spas, lush parks, and bustling high street. With an abundance of independent and much loved High Street shops and incredible dining experiences from street food to Michelin starred fine dining this is a town for browsing - and sampling!

As you would expect from the UK’s most complete Regency town, Cheltenham is brimming with history. As you stroll along the promenade, it’s easy to see why it became the hip 18th century hang out for holidaying Brits, after the enterprising Henry Skillicorne unearthed its health-giving spa waters – even gaining the Royal Seal Of Approval after the visit of the then-reigning monarch, George III.

We depart Cheltenham at 17:00 to start our homeward journey back to South Wales.

This is a great opportunity for a fantastic weekend break in Devon at the picturesque seaside resort of Babbacombe.

Babbacombe Bay on Devon’s English Riviera has a beautiful arc of shingle beach, and this unspoilt coastline is a haven of tranquillity, gorgeous views and calm, clean waters where you can relax and soak up the atmosphere. The delightful gardens at Babbacombe Downs have attained a prestigious Green Flag award and a break here is the perfect way to relax and unwind at any time of the year.

You'll be staying right on the seafront at the friendly, family run Babbacombe Hotel from which you can enjoy fabulous views across Lyme Bay and the Babbacombe Downs. If you enjoy a bit of fun in the evening the hotel lays on entertainment every night.

You can spend all of your time exploring or relaxing in Babbacombe, or take the opportunity to experience more of the English Riviera and South Devon coastline on our included excursions.
