Hever Castle, set in the lovely Weald of Kent, is a romantic and beautiful place, where you can explore the atmospheric interiors and historic elements as you discover the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. As you cross the ancient moat to enter the castle, you are walking into history, which is brought to life in the lovely galleries that evoke times long passed. The stunning grounds and award-winning gardens, with statues, fountains, chess pieces cut from golden yew, 4000 roses, Loggia at the Lake and many more wonderful sights, are a delight to walk around. You can even hire a boat on the Lake and see the lovely Japanese Tea House Folly! There is also a Military Museum to explore, as well as two mazes; a historic English Yew Maze and a splashing Water Maze. You may just choose to enjoy a tea or coffee and sit and admire this picture book setting.
