Coach holidays that don't cost the earth
Certified 100% Carbon Neutral
The British countryside offers some of the most diverse and interesting scenery in the world. Surprisingly, only about 6% of the UK is ‘built on’, which means there is a huge amount of countryside – both wild and maintained – for you to explore. At Leisuretime our countryside coach holidays take you over wild moors, through stunning valleys and to some of Britain’s prettiest and most scenic country spots at prices that are sometimes hard to believe. Throw in quaint rural villages, bustling market towns, a good choice of stately homes and, of course, those great British countryside institutions – the pub and the tearoom – and you really do have a recipe for a great holiday. And because Leisuretime offsets all of the carbon produced during your trip, you know you’ll also be doing your bit to keep our beautiful country green and very pleasant! Coach holidays in the countryside are the best way to relax and take in the views and serenity it has to offer - let Leisuretime take care of the journey and just enjoy!

We journey through the Brecon Beacons, with its picture perfect reservoirs, to Brecon, a beautiful cathedral town with views of the majestic mountains all around. We have some free time to explore the local shops and attractions as well as enjoying a cruise on the Monmouth and Brecon Canal. This historical waterway and fantastic feat of engineering (built before roads and railways) takes us on a scenic ride through a canal lock and over an aqueduct which carries the canal over the River Usk. We rejoin the coach at 17:00 to make our way back to South Wales.
Please be aware that the canal boat operates in all weather conditions, providing a unique experience regardless of the elements. While there are windows to enjoy the views, please note that there is no air conditioning, so it may feel warm on particularly sunny days.

Take a trip back in time and explore the Welsh countryside with a journey on Gwili Railway, one of the UK’s most picturesque preserved lines. Set in beautiful countryside with abundant wildlife, the line follows the River Gwili on a steady uphill journey through farmland and wooded hillsides.Beyond the locomotives, history and scenery, the railway’s appeal lies in the friendliness and enthusiasm of the volunteers who maintain the railway and operate the services. Situated on the River Towy, this county market town is packed with history and reputedly the birthplace of Merlin.
