Coach Holidays to The Borders, Dumfries & Galloway

Amazing food, drink, scenery and history - what more could you want!

The Scottish Borders is perhaps the easiest destination in Scotland to reach; Edinburgh & The Lothians lie to the north, Dumfries & Galloway to the west, and Northumberland to the south. The region is defined by its landscape as well as its spellbinding abbeys, awe-inspiring stately homes and castles, and the time-honoured and truly unique Common Ridings. It's really no surprise that these lands inspired the works of literary greats like John Buchan and Sir Walter Scott, whose home at Abbotsford, is one of the most famous houses in the world. This ‘Great Scott’ popularised tartan, saved the Scottish banknote and rediscovered his country’s Crown Jewels! The first thing you'll notice about neighbouring Dumfries & Galloway is just how beautiful this part of lowland Scotland is, with an undulating coastline of rocky shoreline and sandy beaches, whilst inland, there are acres of forest and green spaces. From beautiful gardens, blessed by the warm climate, to the fascinating museums covering aviation, the war effort and Robert Burns, you will find loads to do. Logan Botanic Garden is located at the south-western tip of Scotland and is unrivalled as the country's most exotic garden. The local food and drink is amazing too!
