The historic cathedral city of Gloucester lies between the lovely Cotswolds and Forest of Dean, and is Britain's most inland port. Make the most of the city's popular Quay area's award-winning Victorian Christmas Market is now the largest free-entry Christmas Market in the South West. In addition to the traditional stalls and entertainment, it is planned that the much-loved open-air real ice rink will also be back as the entire area is turned into a fabulous winter wonderland. The lovely Victorian Christmas Market offers over 150 festive stalls, featuring a vintage carousel, live blacksmith demonstrations and Victorian characters roaming the streets. This 11-day event marks the start of Christmas in Gloucester and is well-loved by locals and visitors alike.
