Spend time admiring the gorgeous architecture or just browse the shops and cafes whilst strolling through its pretty Christmas Market. Rejoin your coach and travel on to Bournemouth and your comfortable hotel. Check in and maybe grab a drink before dinner?

After a hearty breakfast, the day is yours to enjoy in Bournemouth as you wish. Make sure you don't miss the Christmas Tree Wonderland, though. For those that prefer, we will be running regular shuttle coaches between the event and your hotel. Return to the hotel in the evening for another tasty dinner and the chance to share stories with your fellow travellers.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and depart the hotel as you head homewards via the lovely Roman city of Bath. You'll have lots of time to enjoy the Christmas Market there before finally journeying back on home, full of memories and Christmas cheer.

From its relatively modest beginnings, the Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market now attracts visitors from around the globe each year and has achieved a reputation as being amongst the very best in Europe. Within the stunning surroundings of the Cathedral’s historic Inner and Outer Close you’ll find over 100 attractive wooden chalets brimming with goodies. The stallholders are individually selected by the Cathedral’s in-house team to ensure superior quality, uniqueness and that a wide range of products are available. There’s a strong emphasis on British and artisan amongst the stallholders. Look out for Hampshire’s finest cheese and sourdough toasties – these alone are reason to return regularly! With the dramatic medieval architecture as a backdrop, it’s an idyllic setting at any time of day, but it really comes into its own after twilight when the Cathedral is lit up and a warm glow radiates from the market stalls.

Winchester itself is an unspoilt cathedral city on the edge of the rolling South Downs, and is England's ancient capital and former seat of King Alfred the Great. Aside from the fabulous eleventh century Cathedral, it is most well-known for its Great Hall, which for over 700 years has housed the mysterious King Arthur's Round Table. Popular for its bustling shopping streets, the many bars, traditional pubs and restaurants make eating out a pleasure, and there are pretty riverside walks past tranquil water meadows.

With its multitude of festive-themed illuminations the centre piece of this year’s Bournemouth Christmas Tree Trail will once again be the 60ft walk-through Bournemouth Wonderland Tree situated in the centre of the Lower Gardens. The traditional Christmas market, Alpine bar and Ice Rink are all making a welcome return for 2024 and, as well as themed replica trees from around the world, the Gardens and the wider town will play host to a variety of lighting features and installations stretching all the way from the Seafront through the Square up to the Triangle, Beale Place, Horseshoe Common and the Lansdowne roundabout. What fun!

Built for pleasure and relaxation, beautiful Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times. For the Christmas season the city centre becomes a twinkling celebration with the streets and squares around the iconic centre filled with dozens of traditional chalets offering gifts and treats galore, an illumination trail of its most beautiful historic buildings, Victorian carousel, traditional carols, and street entertainment centred around the Abbey and Roman Baths. Why not indulge in a glass of mulled wine as the driving is taken care of! The compact, visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain. Immerse yourself in Bath’s remarkable collection of museums and galleries, while admiring its stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture that is straight from a Jane Austen novel. For a special treat enjoy the grandeur of the world-famous Pump Room for afternoon tea, and a sample of the healing Bath waters taken by the city's famous residents for hundreds of years. For something simpler but just as historic try a delicious Sally Lunn Bunn served in the famous eating house or to take away, made to the same recipe since 1680!

PLEASE NOTE: The dedicated coach drop off place is scheduled to be Royal Avenue which is a 10-15 minute leisurely walk into Bath. It is close to the famous Royal Crescent and Bath on Ice. This is a 10-minute walk from Milsom Street, the northern zone of the Christmas Market. There are dedicated toilets facilities, including an accessible toilet, available for visitors. Please note, this is downhill on the way into the Bath however there is a slight incline on the way back. The coach parking is 15 minutes from the furthest point of the market. This is the ONLY drop-off and pick-up location for any trips to Bath City Centre during the Christmas Market so if you have any walking difficulties, please consider this prior to booking.
