Windsor

Make sure you are on guard for a visit to this special Royal residence!

The Royal Borough of Windsor sits on the River Thames and is home to Windsor Castle, one of the most iconic and loved residences of the British Royal Family. Built by William The Conqueror in the 11th Century, the castle was extensively remodelled by subsequent monarchs and remains one of the most impressive historic buildings in the country. The castle itself is surrounded by a warren of small streets offering a wonderful range of boutiques, shops, bars, cafes and restaurants for you to enjoy along with the impressive 5,000 acres of gardens that make up Windsor Great Park. Time stands still in this charming historic town, and so does the traffic when the unique Changing the Guard ceremony takes place using the High Street as its parade ground!
